1. Thanksgiving Week/Christmas service schedule
**********************************************************************
Thanksgiving week is one of the most heavily traveled weeks on the
Capitol Corridor line. Please arrive at the station early to allow
extra time for parking and purchasing your train ticket.
Capitol Corridor will operate on a Weekend/Holiday schedule on the
following dates:
Thursday, November 22, 2007
Friday, November 23, 2007
Tuesday, December 25, 2007
Regularly scheduled service on all other days.

2. New Parking Area at OKJ station
**********************************************************************
The Port of Oakland will begin construction of a new parking garage at
the Oakland Jack London train station on Monday, November 26, 2007.
During the construction period, parking for Amtrak passengers will be
relocated. No parking will be allowed in the current lot. As of
Monday, November 26, 2007 Amtrak passengers will be required to park
in a new parking area located at 200 Embarcadero West. The new
7-story garage will be built on the site of the current parking lot
and plans include retail space on the ground floor in addition to
1,100 parking stalls. Construction is expected to last approximately
one year.

3. Stitch ‘n Ride with Debbie Stoller- December 7th
**********************************************************************
This holiday season the Capitol Corridor will continue its popular
Stitch ‘n Ride series with a special onboard appearance by New York
Times best-selling author Debbie Stoller. The author of Stitch ‘N
Bitch: The Knitter’s Handbook, Stitch ‘N Bitch Nation, Stitch ‘N Bitch
Crochet: The Happy Hooker and most recently, Son of Stitch ‘N Bitch
will stitch ‘n ride with Capitol Corridor train passengers while she
talks about her new book, shows off hot new patterns and shares tricks
of the trade.
On Friday, December 7th, passengers of all ages and skill levels in
Northern California are invited to board Capitol Corridor train 537
with their craft projects and join Debbie on the trip from Sacramento
to San Francisco’s Union Square shopping district. The train departs
the Sacramento station at 12:10pm, and arrives in San Francisco at
2:55pm. Books will be available on board the train for purchase.

4. Experience Train Week at Habitot Children’s Museum
**********************************************************************
Calling all conductors! Be the first to run trains at Habitot’s new
train table, ride on a miniature train, and play with miniature BART
trains. Create a boxcar train (bring a large box, or purchase one at
Habitot), and create artwork with railroad track impressions. Watch
the mini-train exhibit and listen to train tales storytelling.
